  17. <p>Another U.S. Marine is killed as Somalia looks more like a war
  18. zone

  20. <p>     Helicopter gunship attacks, ground raids, more casualties--the news from Somalia increasingly resembles reports from a
  21. war zone. To enforce a cease-fire between rival warlords, four
  22. rocket- and cannon-firing U.S. Cobra choppers teamed up with
  23. Belgian paratroopers to rout forces advancing on the southern
  24. port of Kismayu; reports had eight Somalis killed and about 40
  25. wounded. On Saturday at dusk, 700 U.S. troops backed by
  26. helicopters swept into the crossroads town of Afgoi to flush out
  27. bandit gangs that have been ambushing supplies en route to the
  28. famine belt. Meanwhile, in Mogadishu, U.S. Marine Lance Corporal
  29. Anthony Botello became the third American to die, when he was
  30. shot by snipers while leading a night patrol.
